MEET THE MAKER
Ted Spitulski - Owner
I have always had an interest in woodworking.
I didn’t know how deep my passion was for woodworking until a couple of years ago when I built a piece of furniture for one of my children. I was given a photo from a magazine and asked if I could build it, she said “I would love to have something like this for my home”. So I took on that task and could not pull myself away from it. The more I did the more enjoyment I received from it. Pretty soon people started asking me, have you ever thought about doing this as a hobby or for extra cash?
That hit a spark in my head because I was trying to figure out what to do in my upcoming retirement. I have always been an active person and like working with my hands. I had looked at franchises but the initial costs discouraged me.
As a child, my parents and I lived in a duplex above my grandparents. My grandfather was a carpenter/tool & die for one of the local railroad companies. He and his brothers also had a small woodworking business is his spare time and I can remember following him around from his basement to his garage making all sorts of wood products. I was only about six years old at the time. I soon began to realize why this has turned into such a passion for me.
Thank you for supporting me. It is your support that keeps me to continue making.
